In August of 1977 it was my pleasure to be commissioned by
'City of Memphis Magazine' to create these illustrative sets of artwork
as a special commemorative tribute to ElvisPresley just
days after his untimely passing. The pictures were also
republished in the December, 1977 issue of the Saturday Evening Post
and subsequently in Roger Taylor's Book, Elvis in Art.

Today these Elvis Presley originals are some of the most collectible artistic
salutes to Elvis ever produced. To quote Memphis Magazine,
"In September of 1977, this magazine . . . published a special issue to
commemorate Elvis Aaron Presley. Our September issue that year
included a sixteen page retrospective of
Elvis' career, as well as a pullout illustration of the king
done by nationally renowned artist, Ed Hirth.
Only 15,000 copies of this September, 1977 issue of
'City of Memphis" were ever printed, making it perhaps the rarest
as well as one of the most elegant print media salutes
to Elvis produced in the weeks after his death."

Now, with the personal approval of Elvis Presley Enterprises,
I am releasing only 2500 lithographs of the originals to
serious collectors of Elvis memorabilia and Elvis collectibles.
Each will be consecutively numbered and personally signed
by myself with a certificate of authenticity
provided with each collector set.

The joy of creating them was indeed an honor.

illustrative sets will ever be available. Each Elvis print will be numbered
and signed by Ed Hirth with a Certificate of Authentification. These Elvis
